Summer in Michigan

This year has been very full for me, with learning, growing personally and professionally, meeting new people, going to new places, spending time on new things. I can't believe how much has changed. All for the better, of course. I have an understanding of what I love even more now, and it's a wonderful feeling.

I spent a lot of the summer with my camera strapped to me somehow. It didn't really matter where I was, it's kind of always there. These photographs remind me of who I am, and what my life is like. Not just because, well, they are photographs that truly show that, but because of what makes the photographs themselves. They are me. They are my family, my friends, my favorite things, my favorite people, my homes, my places, my other half. The positions, the poses, the feelings, the colors, they are all made by me. It's what I'm seeing, presented for you to see for yourselves now..

This summer was a leap for me. It meant spending more time on what I wanted to do, and not just letting life fly by. It meant making a conscious decision to not waste time and to enjoy my days a little more, where ever I was, whatever I was doing; This was my summer on film. I hope that next year this post is ten times longer.
